Eminent citizens react sharply over medical officer’s act , calling it “indiscreet”

Since last a few days medical officer and district administration have been loggerheads over DM, Manish Singh’s behavior and demanded his resignation. Today, a conciliation meeting was held at residence kothi in presence of ministers and commissioner. After that, medical fraternity became agree to resume their duty withdraw strike. Collector too expressed unhappiness for the said matter. But all these developments have diluted the sympathy and respect towards medical officers of the city.

Indore । District Magistrate may be strict…….if education has made you a doctor then you must be taught about ‘how to behave in crisis. You must be taught about basic duties . ….

These are the reactions expressed by distinguished citizens with regard to present issue between Indore Collector and Health officer.

Shabd Writer has spoken to discerning people from the across the society, most importantly people known for their association with a particular ideology and offices they hold in past.  But this time, they all come together with one voice, saying medical officer Dr. Purnima Gadriya’s act ‘indiscreet’

Anand Mohan Mathur, Former Advocate General, told to shabd Writer “  in emergency like situation, DM has many rights. He has to work on war footing and need to be highly tough to get the work done. It is an unusual situation. Medical officer can’t complaint like this. It is an indiscreet act.”

Nagesh Namjoshi, Passenger Service Committee, Railway Board, furiously says “ you say after burning mid night’s oil you become doctors. Only after studying several books, we get degree. If education makes a doctor, does it not teach how to behave in difficult times?  Thought of strike is itself objectionable, although your complaint may be genuine. But this not a right time, when people are dying and struggling for their lives.”
